As we arrive at the close of this year, many within our community are feeling a profound sense of completion. It has been a year that asked much of us — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. For many, it brought challenges, endings, and shifts in perception that required courage, presence, and deep inner listening. Yet within these changes, there has also been growth, wisdom, and a remembering of what truly matters.
Astrological Reflections – Jessica Leonard
We close out the year with a final New Moon in the late degrees of Sagittarius on December 20th, leaving an open door to explore questions that have arisen as a result of how our perception has shifted during this calendar year.
A square from the ongoing conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces continues to express the themes of concrete divinity — the marriage between spirit and matter — inviting a mature and grounded integration of the secular and spiritual in everyday life.
This year saw the start of a long conversation between the outer planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, who will move into a harmonious dance from 2025–2027. This is a beautiful and rare alignment. It suggests that transformation is imminent, beneficial, and evolutionarily sound, despite the difficulty we may feel we are up against. Through this process, we are being encouraged to walk toward the frontier, where creating societal structures for a new way of being is possible.
Numerology Reflections – Sarah Yip
From a numerology perspective, 2025 carries the energy of a Universal 9 — a year of conclusions and rewards. Many have felt an intense urge to shed the past, amplified by the Chinese Year of the Snake.
The number 9 represents the Old Soul. It can use free will to change the world for good or to create drama. Linked to ambition and things coming to a head, this energy has mirrored global escalations and extreme events. As things heat up outside, it becomes ever more important to nurture calm and flow on the inside.
Sarah reminds us that survival requires letting go of the obsessive need to fix everything externally. Instead, the invitation is to be present, to create a ceasefire within mind, body, and spirit, and to gather with like-hearted souls. The number 9 works best at a universal scale — activating mass healing, creativity, music, and freedom. People are the way — they are not in your way.
As we look ahead, we quietly acknowledge that 2026 marks 15 years of the Conscious Life Festival — a milestone we’ll honour more fully in the months to come.
With heartfelt gratitude to Jessica Leonard, Sarah Yip, all guest contributors throughout the year, and every facilitator, partner, supporter, and conscious soul who has been part of this journey — thank you for walking this path with us.
With gratitude,
Laura , Sarah & Jessica
